JTF Confirms Bomb Explosion at a Bar in Kano
A bomb exploded near a drinking parlour in Badawa Quarters in Kano State, North West Nigeria on Sunday, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports .
NAN says an eye witness told it that the bomb was planted near the local drinking parlour.
The spokesman for the Joint Task Force in Kano, Capt. Ikedichi Iweha, confirmed the incident, but however, said nobody was injured.
He said it was a small can of Improvised Explosive Devise (IED), which was planted near a local drinking parlour in Badawa that exploded around 7:20 pm Sunday.
``It was a small IED that was planted at the local drinking parlour and it did not kill or injure anybody,’’ he said.
