Literary Icon Chinua Achebe is Dead


Online news medium Sahara Reporters has just reported the death of one of the most distinguished African writer of all time, Prof Chinua Achebe.
Chinua Achebe, one of the world’s most celebrated writers and author of the classic novel Things Fall Apart, is dead.
SaharaReporters learned that Achebe, who was the David and Mariana Fisher Professor of Literature at Brown University, died last night in a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Professor Achebe had been sick for some time.
He was 82 years old

    Please send my deepest condolences to you and the whole Achebe Family at the Passing of Prof. Chinua Achebe.

    He, through his books was a great educator for me regarding the Omeana of Ndi Igbo and I am eternally grateful.
