Chibuzor Okonkwo set to leave Enugu Rangers

Enugu Rangers and Home based Super Eagles  Defender, Chibuzor Okonkwo is about to make a switch to a foreign club, guess where!...

A tweet from the team's twitter handle indicates that Okonkwo is not going to be part of the squad to face Lobi Stars of Markurdi in the GLO Nigeria Premier Football League, this follows his anticipated move to a club in Libya!

Though the Libyan club was not named, it is certainly worrisome for a player like Okonkwo to make this switch, which i dare say is unfortunate considering the fact that Libya's domestic football is no where near the top in Africa and is still a country economically  recovering from a momentous revolution,  following the ousting of former leader, Moamer Ghadaffi.
That said, it is also a sad commentary on the administration of the game of football in Nigeria, where player welfare is hardly seen as a priority.
