Nigerian Police, notorious for corruption are at it again, this time in Onitsha, Anambra state.

Officers implicated in the video you are about to see include; Stephen Iduh, Anselem Ukachukwu, J. O Daudu of the Servicom Unit. as at Friday 20th Sept. 2013.

They are seen trying to extort 10,000 naira  after taking the victims to the station.

59 Killed as Islamist Militants Attack Nairobi Shopping Mall

Atleast 59 Kenyans have now been confirmed dead and many others injured as islamist militants, Al-Shabab stormed a shopping mall in Nairobi where they have also held large number of people hostage.

The BBC quotes a Kenyan government minister, Joe Lenku as saying that 1,000 people had managed to escape from the Westgate centre after the assault. 

Reports say there is a heavy military presence both in and around the shopping centre, and sporadic gunfire can be heard from inside.

The militants seized the mall on Saturday.

Security agencies plotting to plant weapons in Apo building where 7 were killed

It is no longer news that last Friday's early morning killings close to Apo legislative quarters in Nigeria's Federal capital was carried out by  security operatives who said they targeted Boko Haram Insurgents.

However Online news Medium, Premium Times said the victims were innocent squatters in an uncompleted building, it went further to say that to exonerate themselves from wrongdoing, the operatives are set to plant weapons in the location in order to justify the killings.

Labour Unions in Nigeria vow to Resist Proposed Decentralisation of Labour Laws

Senate President, David Mark has assured Nigerian workers that the National Assembly will review its proposal to remove the National Minimum wage Law from the Exclusive to Concurrent legislative list.
Mark made the assurance while addressing a protest by affiliates of the Nigeria Labour and Trade Union Congress who marched to the Assembly in protest of the move which they say will place welfare of workers in the hands of corrupt state governors.

President Jonathan Denies Promising to Serve for One Term Only

It is no longer news that members of the acclaimed biggest political party in Africa-Nigeria's Peoples Democratic Party PDP have been involved in a make or mar disagreement ahead of the 2015 General elections.

What is news however is that President Goodluck Jonathan has denied promising Nigerians that he will  serve as President for just a term after taking over from Late President Umaru Yaradua under whom he served as Vice President.

Mike Ozekhome Freed by Kidnappers

Reports just coming in has it that Kidnapped lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome(SAN), has been released by his abductors.

Online news medium Sahara Reporters is reporting that  he was released early on Thursday morning.

According to it the family reportedly paid N20m to the kidnappers but was denied freedom as his abductors claimed that the clamour for his release by local and international media showed that he is highly connected.

September 11: 12 Years After

On September 11 2001, gruesome evil was unleashed on the people of the United states of America, following the destruction of the world trade centre by agents of darkness resulting in the death of over 5000 Americans and citizens from other parts of the world...12 years on, perpetrators of these sort of murder have been smoked out in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen and other terrorist havens. Suspected Rapist Escapes Lynching in Abuja

A suspected rapist at the Mabuchi area of Abuja, Nigeria's Federal capital city narrowly escaped attempt by an angry mob to send him to the afterlife.

An eye witness who forwarded pictures of the incident to Nedu Echianu's blog, said the rapist, who sells dry meat popularly known as "Kilishi" was rescued by some individuals who took him to the Mabuchi Police Station.

The rape victim whom the eye witness said is in her twenties was too traumatised to speak.

Premier League clubs spend record £630m

Premier League clubs spent a record £630m in the summer transfer window, according to Deloitte's Sports Business Group.

The previous record of £500m was set in 2008. The transfer window closed at 23:00 BST on Monday.
