It has been confirmed that no biological daughter of Muhammad Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is married to a man from Anambra State or any of the southeast states.

Online newspaper, Sahara Reporters says a desperate letter to President Goodluck Jonathan and Senate President David Mark has been leaked to it this past weekend.
The letter said to have been written by a commanding officer stationed in  Nigeria's northeast  details several troubling issues plaguing troops combating Islamist terror group Boko Haram  in the region.

Police Arrest 13yr old girl wearing explosives-packed vest in Kano

 


The 13 year old girl (pictured above) wearing an explosives-packed vest was arrested in Kano state yesterday December 11th. The girl was arrested after she and her male accomplice walked into a clinic seeking medical treatment. Suspicious hospital staff alerted police who immediately arrested the two.
On searching her, Police discovered explosives hidden under her hijab. The police later revealed that the young girl was from Bauchi and was part of the 'suicide team' that attacked a market in Kano on Wednesday Dec. 10th.

Okorocha Picks Imo APC Governorship Ticket from Son Inlaw

After losing the All Progressives Congress APC Presidential ticket to former Head of state Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd.) Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has picked the governorship ticket of the party following the withdrawal of his son inlaw, Uche Nwosu who reports say was secretly handed over the ticket while the governor was in Lagos for the APC Presidential Primary.

Okorocha's son inlaw who is also the Commissioner for Lands and Urban Planning was said to have withdrawn to pave way for Okorocha's re-election as governor.


Speaking before the ratification of the Governor’s candidature, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr. John Alamba, said that the party had the power to substitute any candidate that withdraws from the race.

Nwosu, in his brief speech said that his withdrawal from the race was based on personal and family reasons, adding that the interest of the party supersedes his personal ambition.

 He urged the party members to give same support and solidarity to the new candidate, Governor Okorocha.

NNPC Disowns Phantom Facebook Account of Its GMD



The Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation on Wednesday distanced its Group Managing Director, Dr. Joseph T. Dawha from a running Facebook account opened in his name by some nondescript scam artistes.

The NNPC in a statement said that the bogus Facebook account which bears a concocted version of Dr. Dawha’s profile is designed to hoodwink unsuspecting users of Facebook into correspondence with a view to defrauding them.
   
The statement advised members of the public “to disregard any such account stating that the GMD has no Facebook account”.

Dozens Feared Killed in Latest Maiduguri Market Bomb Blast
