Former Super Eagles Defender Opposes Appointment of Oliseh as Super Eagles Coach

Writing on his Facebook page, former Super Eagles Defender, Emeka Ezeugo not only opposed the appointment of Sunday Oliseh as Super Eagles coach, he is accusing Nigerian sports writers of falling to the whims and caprice of the Nigeria Football Federation led by Amaju Pinick by not critically assessing the appointment.
His full comment on facebook is after the cut...
OLISEH, ALL THAT WE GOT. A BLIND MAN CAN SEE THAT HE'S ALL THAT NIGERIA HAS GOT. I DID NOT SEE OR HEAR THE MEDIA ARGUE FOR OR AGAINST THE SENTIMENTAL APPOINTMENT. I GUESS OUR MEDIA HAS NEVER BEEN ON ANY SIDE OTHER THAN THE SIDE THAT DICTATES THE TUNE. THIS MUST BE THE BEST THING THAT'S HAPPENED TO NIGERIA IN MORE THAN FIFTY YEARS.
Every cat had a first day. But is Super Eagles in great shape to entertain experiment? What is the state of Nigerian football presently? Beckenbaur and Klinsman won the World Cup and 3rd place for Germany without coaching licenses and experience but Oliseh is no Beckenbaur or Klinsman and Nigeria is not Germany. Have we had the consistency Germany has had in football and do we have the luxury of such strong football culture and consistency. NIGERIANS CAN NEVER DO ANYTHING WITHOUT SENTIMENTS. AND THIS SMIRKS OF A MILLION WATTS SENTIMENT. We never learn from our past. We've forgotten Siasia powered by public opinion and whose experience with U-20 and U-23 were second to none so fast. I did not see his praise singers come to his aid when his ship started sinking. Procedures were followed when Siasia and Keshi were hired, right? What happened to procedure this time? Three months salary upfront? Has NFF suddenly become bouyant? Nigeria, you gotta love this crooked nation. We are used to corrupt practices and abhor decorum. We are talking of our country's sole global brand here in case the custodians of football in Nigeria are ignorant of this, what are my saying? They don't even know hence the shady move they're stepping to our people. Support Goodluck Jonathan and when he fails, do stick by him and don't expect Buhari to remember you when he is dishing out appointments. Don't go crying you are marginalized. I belong to nobody, am still the black sheep of Nigerian football, the man the powers that be would rather assassinate. But the hunted tiger is even more dangerous than the hunter.
